Five For Fighting Mental Health is dedicated to helping men face their struggles, check in on each other, and break down the stigma that keeps too many silent.

Whether you're supporting a friend or working through your own challenges, you're not alone. This space is for you.

The mission is simple: show up for each other, normalize the check-in, and make mental health part of how we show up — not something we hide from.

Engagement

Peer Support Tools

Downloadable worksheets, check-ins, and conversation starters to help guys navigate tough moments or support a buddy.

Community Impact

Support for individuals, teams, and schools. Helping build a culture where checking in is just part of having someone’s back.

What is Five For Fighting?

In hockey, a fighting penalty means you're sent to the box — benched for standing up, for throwing a punch. For me, it’s come to represent what it feels like to battle for your own mental health. There have been times when I’ve fought hard just to stay in the game, only to feel like I was sidelined for it — watching life go on while I sat in silence.

I started Five For Fighting Mental Health because I don’t think men should feel penalized for fighting for themselves. This space is about helping guys get out of the box and back into the game — to reconnect, recover, and rebuild.

I’ve struggled with my own mental health. I know it’s messy, exhausting, and often invisible. But I also know that things get better when we talk. When we check in on each other. When we step up for ourselves and our buddies.

I want to make that easier. Whether you’re in crisis, trying to support a friend, or just trying to figure out your next move — I’ve been there. I get it. And I’m here to help.
